We started Webmatx because we'd seen too many businesses bending their processes to fit software. That's backwards.
Webmatx was founded in 2018 by Daniel Clarke, a developer who spent five years watching companies pay for Salesforce licences and then use 10% of the features while maintaining three separate spreadsheets to fill in the gaps.
The thesis was simple: the cost of building bespoke software had fallen dramatically with modern tooling — but most agencies were still quoting like it was 2010. We set out to change that.
Today, Webmatx is a team of 18 engineers, designers, and strategists working across London and remotely. We've shipped over 120 projects in healthcare, finance, legal, logistics, property, and retail. What hasn't changed is the approach: listen first, scope precisely, build exactly that.
